French VAT is 20% of the Charter Fee and would apply if there is not a navigational passage in international waters. Should your itinerary include a passage in international waters (i.e. Corsica to South of France or possibly a cruising route that takes the yacht outside the 12 mile international line) a reduced rate VAT of 10% (20% VAT on 50% of the Charter Fee) may be granted by the French tax authorities but cannot be guaranteed.
