* VAT. France, Italy and Greece charge VAT on the Charter Fee. Full, regular rate VAT is 20% of the Charter Fee for charters starting in France and 22% for charters starting in Italy. Full VAT rates would apply if there is not a navigational passage in international waters during the charter. Both France and Italy currently allow a reduced rate VAT if the charter itinerary entails a navigational passage in international waters (i.e. South of France to Corsica, Sardinia to Naples, etc.). French reduced rate VAT is 10%, Italy 6.6%. Reduced rate VAT is granted at the discretion of the tax authorities and cannot be guaranteed.
Greece currently automatically grants a reduced VAT rate of 9.6% (12% in some instances) on the Charter Fee for charters starting in Greece.
